Spinitek was created with the vision of developing natural Australian products, with a focus on renewable plant resources and a circular nutrient economy.

Spinitek was formed as a privately held company in 2021 - following four years of theoretical and applied plant research.

Spinitek is an Australian based and owned company, created with the vision of developing biotechnology products, with a focus on renewable plant resources and a circular nutrient economy.

Our team

Jock McRae is the founder of Spinitek. Growing up in the red dust of western NSW, he has a keen interest in supporting rural and regional economies.

Jock’s vision for Spinitek is to develop products that are sustainable and environmentally friendly. The current approach to farming in Australia is not sustainable – Spinitek is the force that will find alternative resources that naturally thrive in our climate. Jock has a passion for turning trash into treasure and finding value propositions where others can not.

Jock trained as a Heavy Diesel Technician in the Australian Army, and has worked in Afghanistan and the UAE. He has also worked as Field Technician for John Deere. In 2020, Jock commenced studying a Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) through Charles Sturt University. Jock is a Farmers2Founders start-up alumni and is part of CSU’s Ready to Launch program.
